Admissions figures are from each school's ABA Standard 509 disclosure for the class entering in fall 2025. Bar passage is the first-time pass rate from the ABA's 2025 bar passage report against the weighted average of the jurisdictions where graduates sat; Wilmington University has no bar results in that report. The three Puerto Rico schools sit on a different scale — Puerto Rico's own bar-passage average is about 52–53%.
What a Few More Points Buy
| Your LSAT | At or above the 25th percentile | At or above the median | At or above the 75th percentile |
|---|---|---|---|
| 145 | 5 | 2 | 1 |
| 150 | 37 | 14 | 3 |
| 152 | 63 | 29 | 9 |
| 155 | 99 | 65 | 23 |
| 158 | 131 | 97 | 58 |
| 160 | 148 | 112 | 87 |
| 165 | 175 | 153 | 137 |
| 170 | 192 | 179 | 172 |
The curve is steepest right where a 150 sits. Two points take you from 37 schools to 63; five points to 99. No other stretch of the LSAT scale opens as many doors per point, which is why a retake from the low 150s is usually worth it — see retaking the LSAT and what counts as a good LSAT score.

Check my law school odds →The Bar-Passage Problem
Only four of the 37 schools posted first-time bar-passage rates at or above their jurisdiction's average: St. Thomas (FL), Florida A&M, the University of Puerto Rico and the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. St. Thomas (FL) is the clearest case — a 150 is at its 25th percentile, it admitted 60.2% of applicants, and its graduates passed the bar at 80.9% against Florida's 72.7%. At 20 of the other 32 schools with bar results, graduates trailed the state average by ten points or more. A low-LSAT admit is only a good outcome if the school gets you through the bar.
Making a 150 Work
- Lead with your GPA. Median GPAs at these schools mostly run from 3.1 to 3.5. A GPA above the school's median makes you a reverse splitter — strong on grades, light on the LSAT — and that is a profile these schools admit regularly.
- Apply early. Rolling admissions favours complete applications in the fall.
- Apply widely within the band. With acceptance rates of roughly 30–65% at these schools, applying to several of them is what turns individual odds into a near-certain admit — see how many law schools to apply to.
